Adeptus Exaltorum Priest (Severius)

One of the few minis of mine, painted out of the desire, instead of necessity. Honestly, you can't tell this guy isn't a perfect candidate for the "motivator" of my poor guardsman (fix bayonets anyone?).

The base for this mini is a body of "Grand Scrutator Severius" from  Warmachine&Hordes; Privateer Press. Bought second hand, as this is an old, pre-lifting model of him.
Furthermore, he is the second WM&H mini I've dealt with - the first one was the Reclaimer.

Przeróbka objęła dłonie - dałem mu bardziej "natchnione" (poobcinane gwardzistom) jednocześnie pozbywając się średnio pasującego patyka...

I've replaced his hands - got rid of both his stick and a weird second one (with miscasted fingers, in my case). As a donors, I used some guardsman bits. After all, You don't need your hands to die for the emperor...

I've also filled the hole in his back, in which the horrible backpack was supposed to be glued in.

Tradycyjnie, wipki. Na początku delikatnie z białym (chciałem uzyskać brudny, ciemny biały).

As always, some WiPs. At the beginning, I've tried to shade white robes (I wanted to get dark, dirty white).

I'm absolutely amazed by how well I've dealt with his coat. Even live, tilting the mini underneath a strong light you can't see the border between bare metal and where the hole was. Power of wet-smoothed Miliput :)

I galeria końcowa.

Aaaand the final gallery. Obviously, there are some tweaks here and there - white was shaded a bit too much, maybe more contrasts on his cloak, lacquer has killed all metallic shading on his chain. But I like him nevertheless - especially when I think how rarely I use priests in my rosters :(

Comparison of scales, for the end. WM&H minis are about a head taller than 40k, but with those few heroes I have, it shouldn't be a problem if they'd stand out of the crowd a bit more.

  1. Jakoś dziwnie kojarzy mi się z Papą Emeritusem Z Ghosta. To pewnie przez tą duszpasterską pozę. Fajnie zrobiłeś fałdy szat.
